Junior Friends and Family Fun

Vision

Create an opportunity for families with young children to experience Friendship Circle early on.

Mission

The mission of our Junior Friends opportunities is to provide the opportunity for younger children of diverse abilities and interests, both within the FC community and in the greater community, to come together and experience FC programming, independently or with their family; to provide the opportunity for fun and friendship in an inclusive environment.

Values

Friendship, Fun, Community, Opportunity for connections, Inclusion

Program Philosophy

Our Junior Friends operates on the idea that providing unique experiences and an inclusive environment allows for our younger members to begin to establish and develop genuine friendships.

Program Goals

Allow families with young children to get to know the organization
Promote fun and friendship among members
Allow families to engage with other families from the FC and greater community
Promote community engagement among our younger members and their families

Who Can Participate

Friendship Circle members through age 8 can participate in Junior Friends programming. Children who are not members of the Friendship Circle and who are younger than 5 years of age can participate with a parent or guardian.

Programs

  • Gymnastics Club
Bodies AND friendships come in all shapes and sizes — nurture them both through these specially instructed classes!
  • Family Fun
Sunday mornings together with our youngest friends are made special with music circle, sensory fun, arts and crafts, snacks, stories, and, of course, friends!
  • Kids Who Care Days
You’re never too young to begin developing your leadership skills! Our middle school workshops are designed to foster young leaders ‘who care’ and their perception on ‘giving back’ with hands-on opportunities for involvement in our community.
