Fellows and Friends!

Categories: Friendship Circle
This Thursday, Friendship Fellow Davis M. took some time to interview our Teen Engagement Coordinator, Ariel S., who has been a staff member with The Friendship Circle since December. Read on to learn more about Ariel and her role at FC.
Looking forward to more interviews by our Friendship Fellows to come, and special thanks to Davis for kicking off the series!
What is your role at The Friendship Circle?
I am the Teen Engagement Coordinator. What that means is that I work with all of our teens to support them in order to help them become the leaders that they are meant to be. I also work to support the community and inspire them to have strong friendships.
How did you get involved?
I was a part of The Friendship Circle when I was in high school. I made a lot of really great friendships and I loved being a part of the community. When I graduated from college I came home to Pittsburgh and applied for a job and here we are. Full circle moment!
What do you like most about working at FC?
The love and kindness that I see and feel on a daily basis. Everyone is so accepting of people exactly as they are and that is what the world needs more of.
What is one thing you hope to see FC accomplish in the next year?
It’s hard because we do so much already, but I would say to continue the amazing programs that happen on a weekly basis and for people to continue to feel the support and love in the FC community as we transition out of the pandemic and hopefully see each other in person.
Anything else?
I love FC so much!

Challenge and Opportunity

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT FROM RABBI MORDY This week’s Parsha (Metzorah) continues the saga of the “leper” discussed last week. The word “Metzorah” literally means, “one with Tzaraas,” so makes sense to contain these laws—and yet we find something intriguing. The laws relating to actually having Tzaraas were found in last week’s Parsha; this week contains the laws of purification… Read More
