Sunday Funday

Members became jugglers for this Sunday Funday! O’Ryan the Amazing taught everyone how to balance feathers and juggle scarves. Members loved passing around a spinning plate and using teamwork to make it happen! We also enjoyed some small Minute to Win It relay games: passing around beach balls using frisbees, completing word scrambles, balancing eggs on a spoon, and more!

Kids Who Care Day

Our friends worked hard to compile several community service projects on Sunday: baking brownies and cookies for Weinberg Terrace; packing welcome home bags and decorating banners for veterans; and putting together birthday gifts for Beverly’s Birthdays. Community members can also hop into Bunny Bakes to see some sweet messages on their hot drink sleeves made by our KWC Day attendees! Lastly, we are so proud of our Kids Who Care middle school leaders: Alia, Daisy, and Sophie. Thanks for stepping up and showing what good leaders looks like!

Sports League

Sports League was a touchdown on Wednesday! Sports League Host Committee teens led members in flag football at the JCC. After practicing techniques, participants played a great round of football. Aviv attended his first program and had a great time meeting Milo! Thanks to all our members for making it a fun time for everyone!

Same but Different

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT BY RABBI MORDY And so it begins. We concluded the Torah on Simchat Torah, this past Wednesday, with joy and singing and dancing, only to immediately turn around and begin again. The same but different cycle to be sure, the beauty found in seeking new meaning in the Parsha—we are have all changed from our internal… Read More

Get Happy! (Seriously!)

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT BY RABBI MORDY This week, as mentioned last week, we don’t technically read a specific Parsha. We read a special reading from the Torah associated with Sukkot; on Wednesday, Simchat Torah, we will actually read the final portion (V’zot habracha). So I’m going to share a brief thought on Sukkot in that spirit. Sukkot is seriously… Read More
