FC Talks

Yesterday, the Friendship Circle hosted an FC Talks panel discussion on Accessibility Within Healthcare, featuring experts and individuals with firsthand experience navigating the system. Our expert panelists included Dr. Josie Badger, Dr. Destin Groff, Heather Mallet, Libby Powers, and Dr. Laura Voigt, as well as moderator Liz Healy. The panelists shared their insights on improving accessibility within healthcare systems. Key topics included the findings of the FISA Foundation’s Far Cry From Fair report, personal stories of navigating healthcare, and what steps future healthcare professionals can take to foster inclusivity. The discussion delved into the critical barriers individuals with disabilities face in healthcare, from bias and inaccessible physical environments to issues around communication and high costs.

The event highlighted the importance of empowering individuals with disabilities to advocate for their healthcare needs and encouraged collaboration between community organizations, professionals, and individuals to drive systemic change. Attendees left with practical knowledge on how to take action, from engaging with healthcare providers to advocating for necessary policy changes.

Thank you to all our panelists and participants for contributing to this important conversation!

Art Club Gallery Show

Thank You for Joining Our Art Club!

A huge thank you to all the amazing members who joined our Winter Art Club Series! Over 50 talented participants spent time crafting and creating, transforming small wooden sculptures into vibrant, colorful masterpieces. From abstract designs to detailed figures and colossal buildings, it was inspiring to see so many unique pieces come to life!

In addition to the sculptures, the young artists also created stunning paintings that will soon adorn our office space, brightening up the environment with their creativity and energy. We’re thrilled to have witnessed such artistic growth and expression, and we’re so proud of everything you all accomplished.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our art community—stay tuned for more exciting creative opportunities ahead!

Thank you again for your enthusiasm, imagination, and dedication. You made this Art Club an unforgettable experience!
