FC Activity Report: 8/27/2020

Categories: Friendship Circle

On August 25 th , 2020, at roughtly 1:00 PM, I signed on to Zoom for an arts and crafts
video session. After the Rules of Respect, the group (of which there were roughly 12
participants, counting the instructors) wished one of its members happy birthday before
moving on to the activity—making planters from old water bottles and thread (for
hanging), as well as painting said planters in different colors. From what I understood,
the planters seemed quite easy to make, though there did seem to be problems with
threading them. Making one of them could be a fun activity for kids, and if they enjoy
gardening and similar activities, it could come in handy.

There is so much happening on WhatsApp, Instagram and “X” that if some of us go a day without checking these sources, it feels as though we’ve been completely out of touch, regardless of how “with it” we may actually be.
